  • Being able to work with less time and resources:

The purpose of participating in the competition should be to become a better engineer. An engineer who is able to work with less resources will excel in his professional life as he would be an asset to the company he works for. Any issue with resources that you face should be seen as a learning opportunity.

  • Approach of working:

The point of organising engineering competitions is that students enjoy the learning process. It is important that you participate in the competition as a hobbyist and not a worker. If you think of yourself as a hobbyist then you would enjoy the process. If you think of yourself as a worker you would repent having joined the team and would think of it as a waste of your time.

  • Patience:

Design is an iterative process. This fact you will experience when you are building your prototypes. While building the prototypes you are going to solve many issues and many a times things will fail. Transforming from a person who cried at every small issue to a person who is able to calmly solve big problems is important.

  • Technical Suggestions:
  • Use radial drilling machine to drill holes in stainless steel.
  • Organise your CAD files properly. Else it becomes a mess later.
  • 3d print drill jigs to drill holes accurately.
